Family Trees and Records
These family trees and family records are a part of the Genealogy collection at the State Library of Pennsylvania. Families found in this collection are primarily Pennsylvania immigrant settlers, and families with longevity living in Pennsylvania. Family surnames focus on the primary ancestor or descendant that are the subject of the family tree or record, thus the noted surnames are not exhaustive. Most family trees and records were created during the late-19th through 20th-century, with a number of the items being reproductions, reprints, etc. of an original work (which is noted in the item description where applicable).
Some of the family trees in the holdings of the State Library are published professional prints, already available online from other digitized sources. For example, the Charles Lippincott family tree can be viewed on the Pennsylvania Historical Society digitized holdings, among others: https://digitallibrary.hsp.org/index.php/Detail/objects/5513. Family tree prints with copyright restictions are noted for each applicable item.
