The Genealogy collection at the State Library of Pennsylvania is a rich trove of materials for researchers in family and local history.  Local and county histories, city directories, warrant maps, church and cemetery records, and family histories provide a variety of primary and secondary source materials.  Combined with the State Library of Pennsylvania's unrivaled collection of Pennsylvania newspapers, the Genealogy collection has resources for almost everyone with Pennsylvania ancestors.

Pennsylvania Genealogy Digital Surname Files is an index compiled between 1930 through 1965 of family surnames mentioned in the titles in the State Library's county and family history collection.
