Joint Legislative Air and Water Pollution Control and Conservation Committee State Documents
The Joint Legislative Air & Water Pollution Control & Conservation Committee works to monitor abandoned mine reclamation efforts, to assess water quality projects and to identify further practical options for change. The Committee's powers and duties include conducting continuing studies on air, water, mining, etc.; recommending needed changes to the General Assembly; examining enforcement of air and water pollution laws; and evaluating mining practices, mining laws, and reclamation of mined lands. The Committee crafts environmental legislation, conducts major industries into conservation initiatives, and monitors key developments that influence the way environmental policies are determined.
The publications of the Joint Legislative Air & Water Pollution Control & Conservation Committee contain newsletters, annual reports, and other reports. Selected topics from these publications include the Forestry Task Force, and yearly news and happenings of the Committee. The bulk of the current material is dated from 2017 to 2020.
