The Dollar Newspaper
The Dollar Newspaper was a weekly newspaper from Philadelphia, published in 22 volumes from 1843 to 1864 by A.H. Simmons. Unlike many other newspapers of the era, it claimed to be "independent on all subjects," rather than supporting a political party.
The holdings of The Dollar Newspaper at the State Library of Pennsylvania are not complete. The issues presented for the years digitized reflect the holdings of the library, and other issues may exist beyond these holdings. Current digitized holdings represent volumes 19 to 22, though not all issues from each volume.
